Kathak is 1 of the 8 forms of Indian Classical Dance Styles. Derived from the word Katha, meaning story telling, it focuses on hand movements, facial expressions, and rythmic learning. At Sunaina Dance Academy, students will learn Abhinaya (acting), swift spins, graceful gestures, and technical footwork. 

Learning Kathak develops a base in dance skills that can be utilized in different forms such as Bollywood & Semi-Classical dances. Senior Students at Sunaina Dance Academy have choreographed their own dances through the skills that were taught. 

We offer Kathak Certifications & Degree Courses. 

All exams are held every year virtually from India. The estimated time to obtain the Kathak Degree is 5 years.
